Family and Friends Introduction

Thanks for wanting to find out more about Climateers and how we’re creating a global network of climate solutions ‘ecosystems’ to be a game changer for climate solutions implementation.

We are excited that the nascent Climatetech industry is one of the fastest growing sectors and PWC forecasts it as a $16 trillion industry. As yet no single business acts as the gateway platform to the industry.

We have built an online collaboration platform that tackles the climate industry issues of fragmentation, complexity and inertia and makes it easier for the organisations working on climate to win.

In the process it set’s us up to be the gateway to all things Climate and the opportunities that await those interested in this fast growing sector.

There are hundreds of solutions that collectively can contribute to reaching net zero faster.

We chose Food Waste as our starter. It’s a massive problem involving business, non-profits and individuals. We can all make a difference.

Many people are surprised to learn that food waste is ranked as one of the top solutions to the climate crisis.  If it was a country it would be third behind USA and China with carbon emissions.

Not only do we waste the resources and energy making food that’s not eaten, when food waste is disposed of in landfill, it generates methane.  In the short term, methane is approximately 80 times more powerful than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas.

Climateers is providing an online platform that facilitates collaboration and brings the stakeholders of a local ecosystem like Food Waste Victoria together to create value for all participants and accelerate progress. It’s a commercial business that’s been designed with low overheads. It generates revenue by creating a targeted advertising network for organisations wanting their brands to be seen by climate-conscious people and organisations.

We will begin a funding round to Angel Investors in October. The video below has been prepared for them.  It provides a good overview of what we are doing, as does the platform tour video further down the page. We have a similar investment offer based on a ‘convertible note loan’ for family and friends ahead of this. It has some additional bonus shares and an escrow mechanism to provide preferential loan security for family and friends.

As explained in the video, we start with just one of 10,000s of local climate solutions: Food Waste in Victoria.

Our aim is to generate $20,000 in sponsorship revenue from a budget of $13,000 within 3 months and then scale that 200+ times globally for Food Waste.

As outlined in the video, our blueprint has been designed to create 50% growth every 3 months so we trigger a social tipping that accelerates climate solutions.

We have a website at https://foodwaste.climateers.com that will be part of a much larger network as we expand.

Our platform, people and processes will then make it easy to replicate with the other climate solutions. 

Our next campaigns will be for Energy Storage, Seaweed, Carbon Markets and Regenerative Agriculture and dozens more next year At the same time people can add  climate organisations to our platform for climate solutions globally. 

We have ambitious plans to roll out campaigns for more than 100 solutions in more than 500 regions to create more than 10,000 local ecosystems like Food Waste Victoria.

After our pilot launch, we will then extend our pre-seed funding round to additional investors, recruitment firms and other climate related professional services companies, offering them an investment bundled with matching sponsorship advertising credits.

With funding behind us, we can start our plans for 50% growth every 3 months from a larger base. You’re involvement as a Climateers Founding Investor might just be the difference as to how quickly we rewrite the end of the climate crisis story.

Highlights of our journey so far:

Jan. 2023: The Co-founding team come together 

Feb. 2023: Climateers Pty Ltd is incorporated

Mar. 2023: Early version of website and the directory was launched at the Climate Investor Forum at the MCG in Melbourne where we had an exhibitor booth. This resulted in some important collaborations.

May 2023: Climateers present our ‘Climate Collaboration’ platform at the Rotary International global convention in Melbourne attended by 15,000+ Rotarians from around the world. We were invited to present at the Environmental Action Summit (refer recording)

Jun/Jul. 2023: Collaborations and further market research helped refine communications and business plans.

Aug. 2023: A collaboration was established with start-up studio Alleyoop to use the Climateers platform to support the climate action and circularity initiative in Cremorne, a 1km2 Melbourne suburb that has 2000 residents and 700 businesses with combined turnover of multi-billions including companies like Seek, Carsales and Startmate.

Sep. 2023: Launched the Food Waste Victoria pilot program to generate traction and sales revenue using our ‘local rollout blueprint’.
